Facilitates hepatic influx of dietary trehalose, which in turn inhibits glucose and fructose influx triggering a starvation signal and hepatic autophagy through activation of AMPK and ULK1 (PubMed:27922102). Also able to mediate the transport of dehydroascorbate. |
